Privacy Policy
Leonor Language School ("we", "us") runs online language classes through our learning platform at leonorlanguageschool.com (the "Platform"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, time zone, and your role (student, teacher or admin).
- Learning records: class schedules, attendance, class hours purchased and remaining, lesson notes, teacher feedback, test and quiz results, and progress reports.
- Classroom content: chat messages, whiteboard content and files shared during a class. Live video and audio are streamed to the other participants in real time; we do not record classes unless you are told in advance.
- Payment information: payments are processed by PayPal. We receive the amount, date and a transaction reference; we never see or store your card or bank details.
- Technical data: browser type, device information and error logs that help us keep the Platform working.
2. How we use your information
- To create your account and let you sign in.
- To schedule classes, run live lessons, and track hours and progress.
- To send class reminders, low-hours notices and other messages about your lessons by email or WhatsApp.
- To process payments and keep accurate records.
- To fix problems and improve the Platform.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Google Calendar (teachers only)
Teachers can choose to connect their own Google Calendar so that the classes they teach appear there automatically. When a teacher connects, the Platform asks Google for permission to manage calendar events. We use this permission only to add, update and remove events for that teacher's own classes on the Platform. We do not read, copy or store any other events in the teacher's calendar.
The access token Google gives us is stored securely and used only for this purpose. A teacher can disconnect at any time from their profile page on the Platform, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Leonor Language School's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Who we share information with
Only with the service providers that run the Platform for us, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Google Firebase – accounts, database, file storage and email delivery.
- Daily.co – live video and audio for classes.
- PayPal – payments.
- Our web host – serving the Platform's pages.
Your teacher and school administrators can see the records needed to teach you. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed for our records (for example, payment and attendance history). You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time; we will do so unless we are required by law to keep certain records.
6. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access is limited by role: students see only their own records, and teachers see only their own students. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
7. Your choices and rights
- See, correct or download the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete your account and information.
- Stop receiving reminder messages.

8. Children
Students under 18 may use the Platform only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who may contact us to review or delete their child's information.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell you about significant changes by email.
